5 Minute Face

I’m a big fan of a 5 minute face – not the kind you see on Youtube where the video is actually 45 minutes long and 200 products are required. We’re talking about an actual 5 minute face, using just 5 products. This is the ideal faff-free, lockdown look to make you feel fresh, put together and presentable enough for the likes of Zoom meetings {or a fancy trip to Lidl}. All 5 products have been on rotation in my make up bag for some time and work well individually for any make up look. Let’s take a look at my tried, tested and recommended.

Please note, I may receive commission from sales via the links below.

Urban Decay Brow Blade Pencil €18.45 – This revolutionary double-ended tool makes bushy brows easy. If you love the laminate look, this pencil does a brilliant job at mimicking a salon treatment without the commitment. This 2-in1 tool has an ink stain end for super precise hair strokes and waterproof brow pencil to give a full filled in look. There’s a range of hues to match your do’, and I’m currently using ‘Dark Drapes’.

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream €46.42 – This miracle worker has gained holy grail status in my make up bag over the years – in fact I cannot stress how much you need it in your life. This step is crucial for a 5 minute face; skip foundation and simply follow with this cream gel bronzer after your day cream. I apply mine with a kabuki {large stiff bronzer brush} in circular motions, focusing on the cheekbones and temples to lightly contour the face. A combination of non-comedogenic mineral waxes and powders give an effortless sun kissed glow.

Tom Ford Spanish Pink €44.21 – Creamy, saturated with pigment and long lasting, Tom Ford lippies are up there with my favs for a high end handbag essential. Spanish Pink is the perfect warm toned, medium pink with a cream finish. Great for perking up your make up look without committing to a bold lip when rushing out the door.

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette Copper Charge €50 – This quad carries me through all seasons and contains shimmering gold, rose copper and russet brown shades. If you’re into Autumnal tones, and highly pigmented shades that blend easily, this is a must. For a 5 minute face I love to apply shade #4 all over with a fluffy blending brush. It’s a gorgeous muted, medium copper brown with warm undertones and a matte finish.

Nars Climax Extreme Mascara €24.95 – This extremely pigmented jet black mascara boosts lashes with an instant shot of volume in just one coat. I was a big fan of the original Climax mascara, but this really takes things up a notch. I have fair, barely there lashes and it really gives a boost with just one coat. Apparently that’s down to the XXXL ribbed bristle brush that combs through your lashes, capturing every hair for a fierce look without the fuss.
