Happy Friday fabulous fairy followers. I’m currently in bed at 10am writing this which is ordinarily unheard of for me. Friday usually means starting the day with a fasted cardio class but this morning I woke up with swollen glands, zero energy and generally feeling under the weather. I rarely get sick and I hate lacking in energy, but at the end of a jam packed two weeks I think I’m finally feeling run down 🙁 In a bid to lift my spirits I thought I would feature a riveting review for you all including a sexy skincare staple I now can’t live without. Alpha-H Pure Liquid Gold is a cult skin resurfacing treatment that has been tried and tested by the best beauty bloggers out there. To be frank, I was always afraid of integrating it into my normal night time routine; the word acid alone scares me and I love lashing on lavish creams before bed. The thought of simply swiping an glycolic over my skin made me shudder. However, this product is said to successfully diminish wrinkles, pigmentation, and sun damage and is especially good for acne scarred skin. The Glycolic based formulation works like an ‘overnight facial’ to brighten and revitalize tired and aging skin, albeit late to the band wagon I simply had to try it.
The advised directions is to squirt some of this liquid gold onto a cotton pad, swipe over the skin post cleansing and only apply every other evening. If you have extra sensitive skin I would advise doing it every third evening. I moisten my cotton pad with the product and apply to face, neck and décolletage every other evening and it’s been working a treat. You can follow with your preferred serum or moisturiser but most reviews and advice state using this liquid alone is preferable for a more intense treatment. Bearing in mind I have generally good skin to begin with I do suffer from the odd hormonal chin breakout and surface dehydration, both of which have vastly improved since using Alpha-H. This is a really great serum and moisturiser saver too as it’s a one product wonder that replaces both for half of the week. I have the 50ml size which is perfect for traveling but the hefty 100ml size is available from Cloud 10 Beauty for just €39.95 and well worth adding to your skincare selection.
