For those of you who follow my social media accounts you’ll know that I regularly stay in Clontarf Castle when I’m in Dublin. I’ve filmed some segments for Xposé in their suites and lounge areas but never stayed overnight, so it was a real treat.
Set in idyllic surroundings, Clontarf Castle Hotel is a romantic 12th century castle that offers the perfect blend of a traditional castle with luxurious interior design, exceptional facilities and a warmth of welcome for which the team are renowned.
I’ve stayed and reviewed hundreds of hotels in my time and I have to say the one thing that really stood out for me was the extrememly accommodating staff and service. I’ve enjoyed their unique fusion tea experience which consists of a selection of 8 teas, served amongst divine savoury and sweet delicacies. The perfect setting for a girly brunch, it’s well worth checking out.
The grounds are stunning; hidden away in a perfectly private and quiet location, yet close to all amenities including Clontarf seafront and Dublin’s city centre. For those traveling it’s roughly 20 minutes from Dublin airport too.
The rooms contain quirky and elaborate features, varying textures and wallpapers, feature walls, four poster beds and even cosy living room areas making the hotel decor lavish and unique, fit for a princess. Upon arrival I was greeted with a bottle of bubbly, gift bag complete with candle and a cake display of a fairy door and sparkling magic garden; it’s those personal touches you never forget.
The one thing that always strikes me during my stay was the fact this would be the ideal location for a wedding, Conveniently, there will be a Wedding Showcase at Clontarf Castle Hotel this Sunday the 28th of May from 1pm – 5pm. So for those of you considering venues or keen to explore this stunning hotel I would highly recommend attending.
